أشارت العديد من التقارير والمشاهدات الميدانية إلى انخفاض نسب حدوث تحرش جنسي خلال فترة الثورة المصرية والتظاهرات التى حدثت فى ميدان التحرير وفى مختلف أنحاء جمهورية مصر العربية ريفها وحضرها، حيث شعرنا جميعا بالأمان والاحترام خلال جميع أيام الثورة.
ونعرب عن مدى سعادتنا لرؤية هذا التغيير ومعايشته في مجتمعنا — وهو التغيير الذي عادة ما أمنا دائما أنه ممكنا.
فنحن نشعر بامتنان عميق وفخر لأبناء الوطن ممن كونوا لجان شعبية لحماية أحياءنا وشوارعنا مع ظهور مشكلة الفراغ الأمني منذ ليلة ٢٨ يناير، فتأكدنا منذ ذلك اليوم أنه يمكن لشوارعنا أن تكون مكانا آمنا للنساء والمواطنين جميعا.
ومن الآن تبدأ مرحلة العمل والتفكير في المستقبل ومراجعة الوضع القائم، حيث نقرر معا ما هي طبيعة المجتمع الذي سنخلقه لأنفسنا، المجتمع الذي يعبر عن القيم المصرية الحقيقية التي تحترم الآخر وتقدس الكرامة الإنسانية.
لذلك تعقد مؤسسة المرأة الجديدة وفريق عمل خريطة التحرش الجنسي، لقاء لمناقشة الدور المستقبلي الذي يمكن أن يلعبه جميع أفراد المجتمع لمناهضة التحرش الجنسي، يحضر اللقاء متطوعون خريطة التحرش الجنسي، أعضاء اللجان الشعبية بالأحياء المختلفة والعديد من الشباب الذين خاضوا تجربة “حياة ميدان التحرير”.
وسوف تستضيف مؤسسة المرأة الجديدة النقاش يوم السبت ١٢ مارس الساعة الواحدة ظهرا
في مقر الجمعية في 14 _ ش عبد المنعم سند _ متفرع من شارع أحمد عرابي _ المهندسين _ الجيزة
ستدور المناقشة حول كيفية تطبيق الدروس المستفادة من ميدان التحرير في التواصل المجتمعي لمناهضة التحرش الجنسي وكذلك عرض دليل المتطوعين الذي قامت خريطة التحرش الجنسي بتطويره في 2010 استنادا إلى تجارب فريق المتطوعين في التواصل مع المجتمع، وعرض كيفية تطويره والبناء عليه، للاستعداد للتوعية الميدانية في يوم ١٩ مارس ٢٠١١ اليوم العالمي لمناهضة التحرش الجنسي، والتي سيشارك فيها كل الحاضرين.

According to many reports, sexual harassment during the revolution fell all over Egypt for some time, and continued to stay at low levels in Midan el Tahrir for some time. Many young people reported never having experienced such a level of safety and respect. We are all so proud to see this change in our society – a change that we always knew was possible.
We are deeply grateful to and proud of the honorable way citizens protected our neighborhoods and our streets following January 28th security problems. In that day, they transformed our country into a place everyone could feel safe in.
Now, as we all find ourselves in the hard-fought and much deserved position of having an opportunity to shape our own future, to decide what kind of society we will make for ourselves, the New Woman Foundation and HarassMap volunteers wish to voice our appreciation for this change and encourage Egyptians to continue to show us and the world the true Egyptian values of respect for others and ourselves.
In order to discuss together the future role for every citizen in ending sexual harassment,
The New Woman Foundation will host a discussion on
Saturday March 12th at 1:00 pm
at their office in 14 abdel monem sanad st, off Ahmed Orabi, Mohandessin, Giza.
We will reach out specifically to the men working in the neighborhood checkpoints, the people in Tahrir, and HarassMap community outreach volunteers.
Together, we will share our experiences and lessons learned from Tahrir and present HarassMap’s Community Outreach Guide for Ending Sexual Harassment, which we developed in 2010 based on the experiences of HarassMap volunteer community outreach teams. We will discuss ideas for improving the Guide and at the end of the session, HarassMap will be signing up Community Captains to organize volunteers in their neighborhoods for a nation-wide Anti-Harassment Outreach Day on March 19th – the International Day Against Sexual Harassment.
The New Woman Foundation is an NGO that currently Chairs the 16-member NGO Task Force on Sexual Harassment. In addition to their other important work, they provide a centralized referral service where victims of harassment can seek help. www.nwrcegypt.org
HarassMap is a completely volunteer initiative that works to end the social acceptability of sexual harassment by providing an SMS and online reporting service, an online map of all reports, and a community outreach initiative that uses teams of volunteers to ask shop owners, public transportation drivers and others to help change the tolerant environment for harassment by 1) being watchful against it, 2) telling harassers to stop, and 3) identifying “safe areas” in shops and transportation. www.harassmap.org

خريطة التحرش الجنسي هي مبادرة تطوعية تسعى إلى القضاء على تقبل المجتمع للتحرش الجنسي في مصر من خلال استخدام تكنولوجيا الهواتف المحمولة وتحديد المواقع عبر الانترنت بالإضافة إلى التوعية المجتمعية، وبإطلاق المتطوعين لهذه المبادرة في 2010، فنحن نؤمن بالعمل مع المجتمع ككل لإنهاء هذه المشكلة التي تواجهنا، ومن أجل تحقيق ذلك فإن فريقنا الأساسي من المتطوعين يعمل مع 100 متطوع آخر لتشجيع جميع الاقتراحات والنشاطات والأعمال الجماعية للقضاء على التحرش.

المهام: مساعدة المدير في إدارة خريطة التحرش الجنسي والتركيز الاستراتيجي وتجميع الأفكار الجديدة، ومتابعة أعضاء فريق الخريطة (HM) والمتطوعين والتنسيق معهم، والتأكد من الاحتفاظ بسجلات جيدة وأن تكون كافة الاتصالات الخارجية في الوقت المناسب ومتناسقة.
المؤهلات: درجة جامعية – اللغة الانجليزية مطلوبة ويفضل العربية أيضا – الالتزام معنا لمدة لا تقل عن 6 أشهر.
منسق متطوعين
المهام: تتبع كافة المتطوعين وما يمكنهم القيام به، وتقديم المشورة للفريق بشأن كيفية الاستخدام الأفضل لكل متطوع، ومتابعة كافة المتطوعين وإبقاءهم مشتركين في العمل، والمساعدة في التخطيط للمناسبات الخاصة بالمتطوعين وإدارتها.
المؤهلات: درجة جامعية – اللغة العربية مطلوبة ويفضل الانجليزية أيضا – الالتزام معنا لمدة لا تقل عن 6 أشهر.
منسق التوعية والإعلام الاجتماعي
المهام: مساعدة المدير في الإعلام الاجتماعي والعلاقات الاجتماعية والعلاقات العامة والعلاقات الإعلامية والشراكات، ويشمل هذا الاستراتيجيات المقترحة ومناقشتها مع الفريق وتحمل مسئولية المتابعة والتأكد من الاحتفاظ بسجلات جيدة عن التغطية الإعلامية وجهات الاتصال، وضمان أن تكون كافة الاتصالات الخارجية في الوقت المناسب ومتناسقة.
المؤهلات: درجة جامعية – يفضل إتقان كلا من اللغة الانجليزية والعربية ويفضل وجود خبرة في التصميم والعلاقات العامة. الالتزام معنا لمدة لا تقل عن 6 أشهر.
منسق عالمي
المهام: مساعدة المدير في تطوير خريطة التحرش الجنسي لنشرها عالميا، وهذا يشمل المساعدة في التخطيط للانتشار وتتبع الطلبات المقدمة لخريطة التحرش الجنسي في دول أخرى، والتنسيق مع المؤسسات الطالبة، والمساهمة في صنع نظام للانتشار العالمي.
المؤهلات: درجة جامعية – اللغة الانجليزية مطلوبة ويفضل العربية أيضا – الالتزام معنا لمدة لا تقل عن 6 أشهر.
HarassMap is a volunteer initiative that seeks to end the social acceptability of sexual harassment in Egypt through the use of mobile and internet mapping technology combined with community outreach. Launched by volunteers in 2010, we believe in working together with all of society to end this problem facing us. To do this, our core team of volunteers works with 100s of others to encourage all suggestions, activities and group actions to end harassment.
As demand for HarassMap grows, we need more help! We are looking for responsible, enthusiastic, practical and committed volunteers and interns to help us to manage, administer and grow our campaign. Volunteers and interns will work as full members of our team and will be given much responsibility. You will be mentored by the team and will learn by doing. Full time work is ideal but part time is possible for all positions. Work will mostly be done from outside of an office, by email, phone and meetings.
Please send your CV and a brief cover letter by March 12th to info@harassmap.org describing your interest in HarassMap, and how your personal and professional experiences make you the right fit. Also please include your language abilities and the length and dates of your commitment.
Program Assistant
Tasks: Assisting the Director with the management of HarassMap, keeping strategic focus and integrating new ideas, following up with and coordinating members of the HM team and volunteers, making sure good records are kept and all our external communications are on time and consistent.
Qualifications: University degree and English language are required, Arabic preferred. A minimum 6 month commitment.
Volunteer Coordinator
Tasks: Keeping track of all volunteers and what they can do, advising the team on how to use each volunteer best, following up with all volunteers and keeping them engaged. Helping to plan and manage volunteer events.
Qualifications: University degree and Arabic language are required, English preferred. A minimum 6 month commitment.
Outreach & Social Media Coordinator
Tasks: Assisting the Director with social media, PR, media relations and partnerships. This includes suggesting strategies, discussing them with the team and taking charge of following up, making sure good records are kept on media coverage and contacts, and ensuring that all our external communications are on time and consistent.
Qualifications: University degree and both English and Arabic language are preferred. Design and PR experience is a plus. A minimum 6 month commitment.
Globalization Coordinator
Tasks: Assisting the Director with the process of developing HarassMap for global distribution. This will include helping to plan deployment, keeping track of the requests made for HarassMap in other countries, liaising with requesting organizations, and contributing to creating a system for global deployment.
Qualifications: University degree and English language are required, Arabic preferred. A minimum 6 month commitment.

“سيري بأمان” – حملة ضد التحرش الجنسي بمصر واعتذار للسيدة/لارا لوجان
إن التحرش الجنسي واحد من أبشع أشكال الإساءة النفسية والجسدية، والآثار المترتبة عليه طويلة الأمد وضارة بشدة على الصحة العقلية لضحايا هذا النوع من الاعتداء. ويبقى أن نقول أنه يعد من العوامل التي يمكن أن يؤدي استمرارها إلي تشويه سمعة مصر.
الآن وقد تخلصت “الحرية” من قبضة النظام القمعي السابق، فقد حان الوقت للمناداة بوضع حد قانوني لهذه الظاهرة المرضية، وأن نغتنم روح التحرير الثورية للقضاء عليها، وتغليظ العقوبة الجنائية لمرتكبيها.
عندما طالبنا كمجتمع بـ “إسقاط النظام”، فإننا لم نعني فقط القضاء علي النظام السياسي القمعي، ولكن عنينا أيضا التخلص من كل الأفكار والتصرفات الفاسدة من قبل القلة المنحرفة.
يمكن الآن بعد ما شهدناه من الروح النقية للتحرير أن نجزم القول بأن هذه الظاهرة المرضية ما هي إلا بذور مريضة – ولكنها قليلة جدا – لأعشاب شيطانية نمت وحان وقت اقتلاعها من جذور المجتمع. إن المصريين الحقيقيين وقفوا لحماية أخواتهم، وزوجاتهم، وبناتهم، وسيدات لا يعرفهن أثناء سعيهم للحرية. إن المصريين الذين تصدوا للرصاص، والغاز المسيل للدموع، والسكاكين، والسيوف، والبلطجية، ونيران القناصة والقنابل الحارقة، لقادرون علي التصدي والقضاء علي ظاهرة التحرش الجنسي.
برجاء ضم صوتك لهذا الالتماس لرفض كل أشكال التحرش الجنسي، واتخاذ الإجراءات اللازمة للقضاء عليه، وسيكون موقفك هذا بمثاية الاعتذار لكل من وقع ضحية لهذا النوع من التحرش الجنسي بما فيهم السيدة/ لارا لوجان – مراسلة ال “سي بى إس”.
